Mason Kinard: Born and raised in Austin, Texas. Originally a bassist in the early '90s punk scene, Mason started playing and writing original songs in '99. His punk roots helped him shape his style of songwriting as much as his love of songwriters, outlaws and poets like Woody Guthrie, Johnny Cash, and Leonard Cohen.
